Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and professional Corporate Arabic Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent proficiency in Arabic and English, along with strong translation and communication skills. The Corporate Arabic Translator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely translations of various corporate documents and communications, ensuring that the content maintains its meaning, tone, and context.

Contract:  Limited time i.e. 6 to 8 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate a wide range of corporate documents and materials from English to Arabic and vice versa, including emails, reports, presentations, contracts, and other business-related documents.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent translations, maintaining the tone, style, and context of the original content.
  • Proofread and edit translated documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, as well as ensuring proper formatting and overall quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand the specific requirements of each translation project and deliver high-quality translations within the given deadlines.
  • Conduct research and utilise reference materials to ensure accurate translation of specialised terminology and industry-specific jargon.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Assist with linguistic support, such as interpreting during meetings or conference calls as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, translation tools, and resources to enhance translation efficiency and quality.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a corporate translator, preferably within a multinational organisation or corporate environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate terminology, business concepts, and industry-specific jargon.
  • Proficient in using translation software, CAT tools, and other relevant technology.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to adapt translations for different audiences and regions.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong research skills to ensure accurate and up-to-date translations.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification or membership in professional translation organisations.
  • Experience in translating documents related to legal, financial, or technical fields.
  • Familiarity with translation memory tools, such as SDL Trados or MemoQ.
